Explore Pernes-Les-Fontaines
If you can tear yourself away from this tranquil abode, the picturesque town centre has restaurants, shops and a famous Saturday market to tempt you with. Follow the Fountain Walk Trail to find all 40 public fountains. Play "pétanque" by the river.
Taste great wines
Of course the region is famous for its excellent wines, Côtes du Rhône, so go taste the Gigondas and Chateauneuf-du-Pape, and other less known beautiful wines.
Discover the region
Further afield, the joys and sights of Provence beckon - wandering around labyrinthine Avignon and the Palais-des-Papes; exploring the Luberon and the majestic town of Gordes; drive to Sault and its lavender fields.
Try the local products
Apart from wine, there are lots of lovely products made in the region: the famous "nougat" of Saint-Didier, the lavender essential oils, the olives or the "berlingots" of Carpentras.
Tour the provencal markets
Don't miss the many Provençal markets in the area: Saturday morning in Pernes, just a 2 min walk from the house; Monday morning in Saint-Didier; Friday morning in Carpentras; Thursday and Sunday mornings in l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and many more.

GUEST REVIEW

The house was more than this: a home away from home, and what happy memories are made of. We loved returning to it to relax and recharge after a long day exploring the lovely nearby villages and countryside, and actually carved out time to explore its many nooks and crannies and make the most of the many entertainment opportunities it offers. It was the perfect base to get to know this lovely part of Provence and experience it as a local. We recommend the nearby e-scooter tour (including the sporty option for the more adventurous!). We will be back, without a doubt.
